| Performance: Johanniter was champion of his stallion testing at Aachen, and finished in the top 25% of his 100 day test as a 3-year-old. He was imported to the USA in 1985 as a breeding stallion, but was shown successfully through third level, trained and ridden by a junior/young rider. Joho is very much a gentleman, ridden and handled by women. He is uncomplicated and easy to ride and handle, and even at age 23, still enjoys hacks on trails and in the fields. |
| Offspring Information: Johanniter has many children competing in the US at all levels in dressage, including numerous All Breeds award winners though out the levels. He also has successful offspring in the jumping venues. He is the sire of several diploma mares and numerous Class 1 babies. He sired successful offspring while in Europe, including an approved stallion. Johanniter has also become internationally recognized as a sire of broodmares - in the US, his daughters have produced ATA futurity winners; in 2000, his daughter Indigo produced one of only 4 youngsters to score 25 points at the Swedish inspection. In Europe, his daughters produced the stallion Restorator, an international Grand Prix jumper, and the approved stallions Jacquare and Lancaster, who won their performance tests with ridability scores of 145 and 130 respectively. Johanniter remains very fertile, and in 2000, had a 95% conception rate (cooled shipped semen to mares in the US and Canada), including older maiden mares and problem mares. |
